The Block Kids Building Program is a national building competition for children in 3rd - 5th grade and introduces them to construction careers. Participants are asked to create something construction related without adult help or guidance using approved materials.

Program Guidelines
Participants are given 40 minutes to use 100 interlocking blocks, a piece of string, aluminum foil, and construction paper to build a project that is in some way related to the construction industry. Projects are scored on oral presentation, enthusiasm, creativity, use of materials, attention to detail and reason for participation. As the judges deliberate, the participants will be able to take part in various activity stations to have fun with various construction related skills. Competition Structure and Winners
